About

The Countess Owners’ Association is an enthusiastic and friendly group of people who own Countess yachts, which were all designed by Ian Anderson MRINA. Most hulls were built by Colvic Craft in the 1980s and fitted out by individual owners or by professional yards.

The range includes:

  • 28 foot Countess, bilge or fin keel sloop
  • 33 foot Countess, bilge or fin keel, sloop or ketch, centre cockpit or wheelhouse
  • 35 foot Countess, fin keel, centre cockpit sloop
  • 37 foot Countess, bilge or fin keel, centre cockpit or wheelhouse, sloop or ketch

The class also includes Hartley and Seastream yachts.

We meet regularly on an informal basis, help each other with maintenance and technical problems, and go on rallies together. We also have a very nice glossy newsletter which comes out twice a year, and an AGM in February at the Cruising Association.
